What this is

The Community Meme Vault is a moderated library of community media operated by Smooth Brain Labs. Anyone can browse and download. Anyone can submit. Nothing appears publicly until a human moderator approves it.

When you submit something

• You keep ownership. You do not sign your work over to us.
• You grant a licence. You give Smooth Brain Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute and adapt the submission for operating and promoting the vault and the wider Smooth Brain Labs ecosystem — including serving it through our public API to third-party sites, and loading it into the Meme Factory editor. Sublicensable is necessary because the whole point is that other people can display and remix it.
• You promise you have the right to submit it. That it is yours, or you have permission, or it is genuinely free to use. You are responsible for that call.
• Approval is permanent in practice. Once approved, media is public and copyable. We can remove it from the vault; we cannot un-publish copies other people made.
• Credit is best-effort. Supply a creator name and we will display it, but we cannot guarantee downstream users preserve it.

What you must not submit

• Anything unlawful, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
• Sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of child sexual abuse — reported to authorities, no exceptions, no warnings.
• Content that harasses, threatens, doxxes or incites violence against a real person, including non-consensual intimate imagery and synthetic media made to defame or deceive.
• Malware, or files disguised as media. Uploads are validated by their actual bytes.
• Spam, bulk submissions, or attempts to flood the review queue.

Moderators may approve, reject or permanently delete anything, for any reason, without notice. There is no appeal process and no obligation to publish a submission.

Using the developer API

• Attribution is required. Display the credit we return with every response. See the developer docs.
• Keys are yours to protect. Do not share a submit-capable key or put it in client-side code. You are responsible for traffic sent with your key.
• Respect the limits. Do not evade rate limits, scrape around the API, or submit content your own users have not agreed to publish here.
• We can revoke any key, instantly, without notice — typically for abuse, spam, or misuse of media. Revocation does not remove media your community already got approved.
• Do not imply endorsement. Using the API does not make you affiliated with, or endorsed by, Smooth Brain Labs.

Our stuff

The vault's name, branding, design, code and the Smooth Brain Labs marks belong to us. The licence above covers user submissions, not our software or brand — nothing here gives you the right to use our name or logo, or to pass your service off as ours.

Tokens, NFTs and project links

Project pages may display contract addresses, chains and links to third-party markets or marketplaces. None of it is financial advice, an endorsement, or a solicitation. We do not verify contracts, we do not audit projects, and a listing here is not a signal that something is safe or legitimate. Verify every contract address yourself before you transact. Crypto assets can lose all their value. Anything you do on a third-party site is between you and that site.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The vault is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that media will remain available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Smooth Brain Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the vault or from content submitted by other users.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

User content is not ours

Submissions are made by users, not by Smooth Brain Labs. We moderate to keep the library useful, but moderation does not make us the author or endorser of what other people upload. If something infringes your rights, tell us and we will act — see the content policy.

Changes and ending access

We may change these terms, the vault, or the API at any time, and may suspend access for anyone who breaks the rules. Material changes update the date at the top.
